Bad Twin is Released
Thursday, May 04, 2006
If you've been reading my blog, you are aware of the book "Bad Twin", a book "supposedly" written by a castaway on the "Lost" island. This book was actually the manuscript seen in yesterday's episode. [It was thrown in the fire, much to Sawyer's chagrin.] The book is available on Amazon for $14.27.
An article defines the midly intriguing clue-filled real-life product placement:
If you're ever lost on a somewhat deserted island, a nice, big stack of books is a good way to pass the time while waiting to probably never be rescued.
A recommended reading list could include Richard Adams's Watership Down, Flann O'Brien's The Third Policeman, Madeleine L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time, the Ambrose Bierce short story "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge," Henry James's The Turn of the Screw and Gary Troup's Bad Twin. Keep Reading...

Gary Troup
The author of the novel, Gary Troup, is actually a pseudonym and an anagram for "purgatory". The actual author is unknown, however Stephen King is a suspect. Personally, I disregard this claim because from what I hear, the writing style is too amateur for his mode.
