Psalm 23

^Eko watches the Dharma video with Michael.

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

If you've checked out the Spoiler Vault, you know that Episode 10 is entitled "The 23rd Psalm". The text the Eko was carving on his stick appeared to slightly resemble Psalm 23 and this episode happens to be Eko-centric. Also, in an earlier episode, Eko eyed a Bible they found with a thoughtful look. And don't forget the forty days he spent in silence, most likely in retribution of the three "Others" he murdered. Eko is becoming more and more the object of faith in "Lost".

But I thought that was Locke's job.

This season, the relationship between Locke and Eko will become a foremost plot point. Will they unite in their personalities or have opposing views?

Another note on Eko: It has been spoiled that Eko was born and grew up in Nigeria. Will the discovery of the Nigerian drug-smuggler's plane spark any interest in Eko?...or perhaps shed some light on his past?
