8 Across, 15 Down...

^Above, Locke works quietly on a crossword puzzle.

When Eko arrives at the "hatch", Locke is keeping vigil over the computer and "pressing the button". However, he seems more intent in his crossword puzzle than his duty...

You will notice that Locke filled in Gilgamesh for clue Enkidu's friend. Good job Locke! Yes, in the story of Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh was Enkidu's friend. But, what's eerie is that he was filling in 42 Down. (42 is one of the dreaded "numbers": 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42)

Locke has 38 Down correct: robbed is synonymous to ransacked and 37 Down: Ghent is a Belgian port. Unfortunately, no other answers appear that are clues and answers.

What's unusual is that some of the other words are spelled wrong. Imgtativ is a bad spelling of imitative or imaginative and asids could be meant to say acids or asides. However, most likely these are just anagrams or "special" clues that go along with the theme of the fictional puzzle.

---I think I'm gonna go do a crossword now...
